Where and When

The Fiddlers Society has moved venue to the upstairs room of the Red Deer Public house on Pitt Street in the centre of Sheffield. The first meeting, after our move from the Three Cranes, was held on the 28th September 2004. The Red Deer is a traditional English pub serving very good Real Ale. The meetings start at 8pm on the last Tuesday of each month. It is a private room which means children are welcome to come to the meetings. We would like to thank the landlord and landlady of the Three Cranes, Bank Street, (the venue for the previous 11 years) for their hospitality. 

Parking

Parking can be a bit of a problem in this area, it being the University 'watering hole', however, there is a large car park on Devonshire Street and the surrounding streets allow parking if you can find a space.

Safety

I don't want to worry anyone, but it's a sensible idea to carshare and thus have someone with you when you go to or from the Red Deer, West Street can get a bit like the wild west although Tuesday is a fairly sane night!
